Denmark Hill Conservation Reserve is an important nature refuge in the heart of the city. The 11 hectare site was established as a reserve in the 1880s, and more recently consolidated into Ipswich City Council’s Enviroplan conservation network. Visitors can enjoy bushwalk loops, with picnic facilities and nature-based playground available at the Quarry Street entrance.
This location has an active Ipswich City Council volunteer bush care group. If you are interested in participating as a registered Volunteer see Ipswich.qld.gov.au/volunteering.
