Council’s 2026-2027 Annual Plan and Budget invests money where it matters to responsibly manage the rapid growth shaping our city.
It’s a future-focused approach aimed at enabling our city to grow and prosper, while maintaining some of the lowest rates and charges in South East Queensland.
Council will operate with a budget surplus in 2026-2027, meaning we can invest more in what matters most to the Ipswich community.
This Budget delivers more cost-of-living relief for residents with one of the most significant service improvements for our community in recent years, with the introduction of a waste voucher for use at our Resource Recovery Centres.
This year’s Budget also includes $210 million investment on roads, facilities and open spaces our growing city relies on.
At the heart of this Annual Plan and Budget is a simple commitment: every decision council makes is grounded in the needs of our community and the future we are building together.
