Ipswich clubs, groups or organisations with an aviation, rail or auto focus are being encouraged to connect with council’s City Events team as preparations progress for a new festival for 2021.
The date of Saturday, 1 May 2021 has now been set for Planes, Trains & Autos, which promises to be an adrenaline charged event suitable for the whole family.
The event will be held at The Workshops Rail Museum in celebration of all things aviation, rail and autos.
It is set to include car, truck and motorcycle displays, motorsport and sporting personalities, defence vehicle displays and more.
Mayor Teresa Harding said now was the time for aviation, rail or auto focused clubs, groups or organisations, with an interest in being a part of the event, to get in touch.
“We are asking those clubs, groups or organisations with an interest in providing a unique adrenaline charged display to connect with council’s City Events team,” Mayor Harding said.
With space onsite at The Workshops Rail Museum limited, not all clubs, groups or organisations who get in touch will be selected to participate, as council works to curate the most unique and attractive offering for event visitors.
Getting in touch is as easy as visiting the Ipswich Festivals website at www.ipswichfestivals.com.au and following the prompts to complete a quick form.
Planes, Trains & Autos is part of a revamped major events line-up and was set to be held for the first time in May this year but was cancelled due to COVID-19.
Planes, Trains & Autos is proudly presented by RPQ, Ipswich City Council and the Queensland Government, and is supported by Queensland Times.
