South American fusion, tenors and a duo with a didgeridoo are amongst the incredible performances coming to Ipswich this October, as the Civic Centre welcomes new shows from across Queensland.
Community, Culture, Arts and Sport Committee Chair Councillor Andrew Fechner said the line-up of shows is not to be missed.
“October at the Ipswich Civic Centre kicks off with eclectic world folk jazz at Estampa – Without Borders Album Launch and the unmissable music storytelling collaboration of critically acclaimed Heartland,” Cr Fechner said.
“Rounding out the month, THAT Production Company presents tick, tick … BOOM! Perfect for music theatres lovers, young adults and beyond. See it before the new filmed adaption, directed by Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda, hits Netflix later this year.
“It’s a lovely time of year for a night out in our city, to enjoy time with friends, and take in a show.”
Community, Culture, Arts and Sport Committee Deputy Chair Councillor Kate Kunzelmann said the best shows will land on Ipswich’s doorstep this October.
“There’s really no need to travel out of Ipswich when the Ipswich Civic Centre presents the year’s best shows this October,” Cr Kunzelmann said.
“Gather your friends and family and come see what the Ipswich Civic Centre has to offer.”
