Ipswich City Council and West Moreton Health have partnered to support parents and caregivers by introducing a free Child Health Services clinic at the Springfield Central Library for children from birth to 12 years old.
Mayor Teresa Harding thanked West Moreton Health for collaborating on the new one-stop-shop for family support.
“The first five years are so important and we already have developed a range of library programs aimed to get young ones reading, talking and singing,” Mayor Harding said.
“Now, by offering a space for the Child Health Services clinic in the library, parents can also find out about growth and development, sleep and behaviour to feeding and nutrition.”
The clinic launched last week and will be available every Monday from 9am until 11.30am.
It is a drop in clinic so no appointments are needed at these sessions.
Afternoon appointments will also commence each Monday from 5 April, starting at 1pm until 3.30pm.
