The winners of the 2020 City of Ipswich Christmas Lights Competition presented by IGA have been revealed, after more than 70 households, businesses and streets lit up Ipswich with festive displays.
The annual competition saw one of the highest numbers of entrants this year after introducing two brand new categories: Best New Entrant and Best Sustainable Display.
Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding thanked entrants and event sponsors for bringing Christmas cheer to the city.
“It was fantastic to see so many homes brighten up our suburbs this year,” Mayor Harding said.
“Christmas starts at home, where we gather with our family and friends. For many, it’s our place to connect with loved ones, and in decorating our homes we each do our bit to bring extra sparkle and spirit to the rest of the community.”
