Applications open for 2022 Anzac Day funding

Funding is available to support the development and delivery of 2022 Anzac Day Commemorations with Ipswich City Council encouraging community organisations to now apply.

Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said Council is committed to delivering and supporting Anzac Day commemorations across Ipswich.

“Council continues to honour and build upon Ipswich’s strong community spirit with funding now available for Anzac Day 2022,” Mayor Harding said.

“I would encourage registered not-for-profit community organisations to get their applications in as the process is now open until 28 February 2022.”

Community, Culture, Arts and Sport Committee Chair Councillor Andrew Fechner said council seeks to support Anzac Day with grants of up to $15,000.

“Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance that brings the whole community together to remember those who served and died in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations,” Cr Fechner said.

“The funding is for organisations to hold events on Anzac Day.”

Funding can be used for:

  • Venue and equipment hire
  • Road closures/ traffic management
  • Hire of temporary infrastructure
  • Engagement of short-term specialised personnel to assist with event and logistics management
