Ipswich residents can ditch the TV to catch the state’s biggest game in the city’s newest entertainment precinct, with Tulmur Place set to host State of Origin Game Two live on the giant newly installed 6m x 3m LED this Sunday.
Mayor Teresa Harding encouraged residents to grab a rug and blanket, and catch the unmissable match with their friends and family.
“Ipswich is the beating heart of rugby league, and our city has produced countless Queensland representatives over the years,” Mayor Harding said.
“Food trucks, a licensed bar, coffee cart and heaters set the stage for Game Two in front of Ipswich’s newest big-screen.
“We’re back in Game Two with another family-friendly event, and an even higher-stakes encounter.”
“So, grab your friends, pack your woollies and a rug, and come on down to watch the mighty Maroons go into battle against the Blues for state honour.”
Alcohol can be purchased from the licenced bar but cannot be brought into the precinct.
The venue opens at 7pm, kick-off starts at 8pm.
Game Three will also be screened in Tulmur Place on 14 July.
