New Discover Ipswich Magazine to hit mailboxes this week

01 April 2021

If you live in Ipswich or the Western Suburbs check your mailbox this week as the 2021 Discover Ipswich Magazine is heading your way.

This year the magazine’s distribution has included 65,000 households in the Ipswich region and another 24,000 households in the Western corridor.

Distribution was increased this year with a focus on promoting Ipswich’s best experiences and businesses to locals and visitors to South East Queensland.

Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said the magazine showcases the huge variety of experiences, unique natural spaces, and our vibrant local restaurant scene that make Ipswich one of Queensland’s most liveable cities.

“Discover Ipswich features a number of members of the Ipswich Tourism Operator Network, including well-known attractions and a number of hidden gems,” Mayor Harding said.

“Whether you’re an Ipswich resident looking for a new experience or panning your next holiday from further afield, Discover Ipswich will be the place to start.”

The increased distribution has also come as a response to Covid-19, to stimulate the economy during the pandemic recovery.

“Once lockdown restriction are lifted, I encourage you to buy local to support our communities and their small to medium businesses,” Mayor Harding said.

This year, the Discover Ipswich magazine will be sent out to Brisbane and local cafes and accommodation houses as well as Visitor Information Centres around Queensland.

The 2021 edition is also bigger than ever with 60 pages dedicated to the region’s best features with stories written by local, Brisbane-based, Gold Coast and North Coast located travel writers and journalists.

Stories include heli-mountain biking, award-winning venues, heritage homes, meet the chefs, where to pitch in the swich, boutique shops and kids’ entertainment ideas – just in time for Easter holidays.
