More than 100 Ipswich small businesses will exhibit at 2022 Business Expo Ipswich on 9 June 2022 at the Ipswich Showgrounds as part of Queensland Small Business Month.
Economic and Industry Development Committee Chairperson Councillor Nicole Jonic said small businesses are at the heart of the Ipswich economy.
“Many small businesses owners have told us they want more information on how to connect with each other, how to connect with government and market their businesses to make the most of the opportunities that come with the growth we are seeing here in Ipswich,” Cr Jonic said.
“I would encourage you to book a space at the expo and join with other local businesses to get the work out there about what is available right here in your own backyard.
“Ipswich has more than 10,000 registered businesses, many of which are small, but they are mighty; they offer locals every product or service they need, and they play an important role in keeping our community strong.
“The 2022 Business Expo Ipswich offers small business owners the opportunity to learn and acquire new skills, tools and ideas to get to the next level; to discover new suppliers and build strategic partnerships; and to find new customers and clients.
“As Queensland’s first Small Business Friendly Council, we are committed to working with the city’s chambers of commerce and tailoring support to our local traders’ needs.
“I would encourage business owners to take advantage of the opportunities that an event like 2022 Business Expo Ipswich offers.
“We know that local economies grow when people ‘shop local’ and this is just as true for business as for retail shoppers.”
Exhibition space for the event is limited, and business owners are encouraged to book early at businessexpoipswich.com.au
