Major coffee brand launches café in Ipswich CBD

Coffee is calling with the latest Nicholas Street Precinct business Stellarossa officially opening its café doors.
Stellarossa began in Brisbane in February 2009 and has now opened in Ipswich.
Ipswich Central Redevelopment Committee Chairperson Councillor Marnie Doyle said it was great to welcome another high-quality café offering to the city.
“Ipswich has an unquenchable thirst for coffee and we’re blessed to have many wonderful baristas and cafés across the city, now joined by another big name,” Cr Doyle said.
“Stellarossa’s investment here is another show of confidence in Ipswich Central and the local market, and it makes sense that they have opened their doors in the Nicholas Street Precinct, the heart of our booming, coffee-obsessed city."
The Stellarossa Nicholas Street franchise partners, Rony and Yasmin Hassan, are locals to the region and they are excited to be a part of the positive change in the area.
Stellarossa’s partner roaster is based in Brisbane and uses ethically sourced coffee beans.
The specialty grade coffee is made in-stores by highly trained baristas passionate about serving perfect coffee.
Councillor Doyle said Stellarossa has a prime precinct position near That Dumpling Place and a short stroll from Tulmur Place and the new Ipswich Central and Ipswich Children's Libraries.
“Leasing in the Nicholas Street Precinct continues to go from strength to strength, and we can’t wait to share more exciting announcements about the precinct with the community," Cr Doyle said.
Stellarossa currently has 18 cafés and four drive-through cafés in Queensland.
Ipswich is the nineteenth dine-in café, located on Nicholas Street with indoor and outdoor seating.
All Stellarossa cafés have menus specially designed to suit their local market offering all day dining and grab-and-go lunches for our growing CBD workforce.
Stellarossa will be looking to hire a team of 10 to 15 locals with a wide range of skill sets from baristas to chefs, and guest experience specialists.
Councillor Doyle said 2023 will be a busy year in the precinct with work starting this week on the new HOYTS cinema complex at the Venue site, plus the first sod turned last week in the expansion of the Commonwealth Hotel.
It is hoped both will be open in time for Christmas next year, with many more restaurants and food businesses joining those that opened this year, including Gelatissimo, Zambrero and That Dumpling Place, with Sushi Hyo to follow.
“We have seen our first food entries open their doors, they will soon be joined by service industry tenants, including Austhetica and Sofia Nails, to add more fantastic offerings for Ipswich residents,” Cr Doyle said.
