A number of Ipswich City Council services will take a short break over the Christmas and New Year period, while essential services including council’s emergency call centre and waste collection will remain unchanged.
Ipswich City Council acting CEO Ben Pole said the impact on residents would be minimal, while allowing a large part of council’s workforce to spend time with their family and loved ones.
“We wish the Ipswich community a safe and joyous Christmas and New Year and look forward to continuing to serve you in 2024,” Mr Pole said.
“For emergencies, council’s emergency call centre will continue to operate 24 hours a day via the usual customer service number 3810 6666.”
