Sushi Hyo opens in Nicholas Street Precinct

Sushi Hyo opened its doors this week as the latest addition to Ipswich’s newest entertainment, dining and cultural destination, the Nicholas Street Precinct.
The Ipswich opening saw busy trade on the store’s first day with many in the community excited to try a new sushi train and Japanese fine dining experience in the heart of the city.
Ipswich Central Redevelopment Committee Chairperson Councillor Marnie Doyle said as each new business opens in the Nicholas Street Precinct, council is delivering a revitalised Ipswich Central the community can be proud of and enjoy.
“Working together with business and the community, Ipswich City Council continues to develop a safe, inclusive, creative and vibrant city,” Cr Doyle said.
“Ipswich is the fastest growing city in Queensland and the Nicholas Street Precinct’s diverse range of restaurants and retailers is a great example of the calibre of quality businesses we are now attracting into our beautiful city centre.”
Sushi Hyo has been taking Queensland by storm, offering a mix of Japanese fine dining coupled with a traditional sushi train.
Sushi Hyo have established venues across the state in areas including Townsville, Rockhampton, Mackay, Gladstone, Victoria Point, Redbank Plains, Springfield, Yamanto and Southport.
Sushi Hyo owner Graham Kyo has been running successful Japanese restaurants for more than 13 years.
This venue is his fourth restaurant in Ipswich and is managed by talented chef Jack Kwon.
“We are happy to open in the Nicholas Street Precinct and I hope the Ipswich community enjoy our food and come to have a new experience,” Mr Kyo said.
Sushi Hyo is open daily for lunch and dinner from 11am to 8pm.
The opening of Sushi Hyo affirms further confidence that leading brands are harnessing the benefit from the exposure and opportunity Ipswich represents.
Bun Bun Bao and Austhetica are nearing their fit-out completion and are next in line to open in the coming months.
