Sink your teeth into Burger Joint at Little Day Out

Ipswich’s signature children’s music festival, Little Day Out, is back this Sunday 14 July with headline act Junior Burger set to light up the stage.
Ipswich Mayor Teresa Harding said Little Day Out is a key event of the SPARK Ipswich Festival, which attracts visitors from across South-east Queensland to 11-days of music, art and cultural experiences across Ipswich.
“SPARK is now one of council’s signature festivals and has grown to join Planes, Trains & Autos and the Festival of Horsepower as must-see festivals across South-East Queensland,” Mayor Harding said.
“The city will reverberate to the music and joy this festival brings as Ipswich transforms into a dynamic cultural experience for locals and visitors alike.
“This festival brings so much energy and verve to the city - it is one of the highlights of the year, enjoyed in 2023 by more than 3,200 people.”

said festival favourite Burger Joint will be the headline act this year with their uniquely Australian rock concert for kids, the Junior Burger Rock Show.
“Junior Burger doesn’t hold back on the guitar solos and drum fills because they believe kids love rock ‘n’ roll as much as mum and dad do and their debut EP Totally Unsupervised is a fun, funky rock odyssey that will have kids dancing, clapping, stomping their feet and wanting to help mum with the dishes and take the bins out,” Cr Augustine said.
“It’s time to gather your festival crew to come sing, dance, create and play. You can tinker with tools, make an art mobile or play with bubble wands. It is all part of the Little Day Out experience.
Division 1 Councillor Jacob Madsen reminded residents that Little Day Out, presented in partnership with Ripley Town Centre, is a pet free zone for everyone’s comfort.
“Little Day Out has a program bursting with music, hands-on art experiences, food and roving entertainment this year and it will be across two session times due to its popularity,” Cr Madsen said.
“It really is establishing itself as one of the highlights of the annual SPARK Festival and draws a crowd from near and far.”
The two sessions in the Ripley Town Centre will run from:
- Session 1: 9am – 11.30 am.
- Session 2: 1pm – 3.30 pm.
The event is just $5 per entry and children with a purchased ticket will receive a bucket hat.
