Visit a ‘learn to ride’ track
Suttons Park in Brassall and Grande Park in Springfield have miniature riding tracks, complete with stop signs, line markings, roundabouts and traffic signals, so your kids can practice their riding skills while learning about road safety.
The Ipswich Cycle Park in Churchill provides a place for riders of all ages to ride or train in a safe location. The park has three track loops, ranging from 400m to 1.3km.

Get the right kit
Do everything you can to make sure your kids are comfortable to ensure they enjoy riding. Start by checking the scooter or bike is the right size and the seat the correct height. Make sure they wear enclosed shoes and clothing that won’t get caught. More comfort results in more smiles and less tears.
Choose a bike path
