Kids Water Safety and Learn to Swim Program

Ipswich City Council’s Kids Water Safety and Learn to Swim Program offers children aged 6 months to 5 years free water safety and swimming lessons.

This program has been designed for children to help them build water confidence and encourage them to be more comfortable in the water, learning lifesaving skills while having fun.

  • Babies Level 1 (6 months – 1 year) at 9.15 am or 9.45 am FULLY BOOKED
  • Babies Level 2 (1–3 years) at 10.15 am FULLY BOOKED
  • Babies Level 2 (1–3 years) at 10.45 am FULLY BOOKED
  • Level 1 (3-4 years) at 11.15 am FULLY BOOKED
  • Level 2 (4-5 years) at 11.45 am FULLY BOOKED

Program terms and conditions

Dive into Books

Families attending learn to swim sessions receive free entry to Dive into Books. Nurture your child’s love of language and stories at your local pool.

Ages 0-5 years with mums, dads and/or carers. No bookings required.

  • This program is offered under Ipswich City Council’s  Kids Water Safety and Learn to Swim Program
  • Lessons are conducted by qualified Just Sports ‘n Fitness swim instructors in a safe and supportive environment
  • Bookings are essential as numbers are capped per session
  • The program consists of one 30 minute lesson, and attendance will be at the same time each week for six weeks, level breakdown below:
    • Babies Level 1 (6 months – 1 year)
    • Babies Level 2 (1–3 years)
    • Level 1 (3-4 years)
    • Level 2 (4-5 years).
