Kids Water Safety and Learn to Swim Program
Ipswich City Council’s SEAL Pool Safety Program offers children aged 6 months to 5 years free water safety and swimming lessons.
The Kids Water Safety and Learn to Swim Program has been designed for children to help them build water confidence, and encourage them to be more comfortable in the water learning lifesaving skills while having fun.
The next planned Kids Water Safety and Learn to Swim Program will be held in February 2025 at Leichhardt Swim Centre. Be the first to hear when bookings open by joining out mailing list.
This program is a one off introductory program primarily for Ipswich residents. Priority is given to children who have not yet participated in this program. If your child has already participated in a Kids Water Safety and Learn to Swim Program at any time in the past, if there are no available session times suitable for your child or if you reside outside of the Ipswich local government area, you are welcome to join the program waitlist and we will contact you if a space becomes available.
- This program is offered under Ipswich City Council’s SEAL Pool Safety Program
- Lessons are conducted by qualified Just Sports ‘n Fitness swim instructors in a safe and supportive environment
- Bookings are essential as numbers are capped per session
- The program consists of one 30 minute lesson, and attendance will be at the same time and day each week for six consecutive weeks, level breakdown below:
- Babies Level 1 (6 months – 1 year)
- Babies Level 2 (1–3 years)
- Level 1 (3-4 years)
- Level 2 (4-5 years).
