Ipswich City Council prioritising red-lidded bin collections for the week

Residents across suburbs of Springfield and surrounds are being asked to put their red-lidded bins out tonight (Wednesday 18 December) and to leave them out over the weekend if not collected.

Ipswich City Council will divert waste collection services to deliver a catch-up service for suburbs whose bins were not collected last week due to protected industrial action.

Council will have collection services in the suburbs of Springfield and surrounds from 5am Thursday 19 December, as well as those suburbs who are normally collected on a Thursday.

Free waste drop-off for affected residents across suburbs impacted by protected industrial action remains available all week.

The Rosewood and Riverview Resource Recovery Centres are open from 7am to 5pm daily.

Council will continue to work to provide critical waste collection services to residents with medical collections.

Council will continue to assess what is possible for service delivery over the remainder of the week and respond to any changes.
