What is a threat advisory, and why am I receiving it?
A threat advice is sent to all ICC Managers (General, Branch & Section) to warn of a potential threat or disruption to the Council's or the community's effective functioning based on current capacity, capability and resilience. It usually contains incomplete and uncertain information and should not be distributed or published. It does not replace weather warnings from the Bureau of Meteorology. It should be a prompt to start thinking about what if or trigger your department/branch/section business continuity or emergency plan.
It is also sent to the Mayor, Councillors, LDMG members and LDCC reserve for their information only - they should not take any action based on this advice.
